Tips
In 1967, one of five Bundeswehr reconnaissance towers (telecommunications sector towers) was erected here on the Stöberhai. In 1992 the military left here and the tower of the facility was brought down by blasting on September 23, 2005. The memorial to the listening system has been located here since 2006.

Stöberhai was a listening post in the Harz and listened to the GDR. The memorial of the cleared radio station is lovingly cared for. But you don't see much of the military use here anymore, nature regains its flair here
