This is the official North Sea Cycle Route (Red 1). Unfortunately partly due to very sandy subsoil, so that you have to climb off and push in some places.
For this, however, you are sometimes rewarded with panoramic views.

If it is too wet down at the Ferringsee it has to go through the sand on top of the dunes - unfortunately only with wider tires can be driven ... with narrow tires you have to push more than you drive :(

The route between Ferring Sø and the North Sea is scenic, but practically impossible to drive on with a touring bike. Either too muddy or too sandy. So if you don't have the right bike, you should rather drive east past Ferring Sø.
