The bridge can be accessed directly from the marked hiking trail. But be careful: the other end of the bridge is not secured. Then go down about 8.00m.
The approximately 186m long curved Wettebachtal bridge consists of 9 concrete arches and is still in relatively good condition today.
However, due to the unsafe ground, the tenth pillar always slipped. A static securing of the ground and the pillar cost millions of marks. An observation between 1915 and 1925 has shown that the displacement was over 47cm. The entire project developed into a "million dollar hole". The extension of the bridge was then designed differently.
On one of the pillars is a plaque reminding of the opening of the "Former Heubergbahn" hiking trail on June 27, 1982.
