former St. Godehard and Nikolai Church. From the St. Godehard Church, which once stood on what is now Nikolaiplatz, only the so-called Klausturm has been preserved. The church was dedicated to St. Godehard of Hildesheim; they were called St. Godehardi until the 17th century. A secondary patronage of St. Nicholas has been documented since 1360. As early as 1599, a chronicler mentions the solitary Klausturm, stating that it was built in 1455. The four-storey Gothic tower has tracery windows on the upper floor. The rich structure with a gallery and a hood roof he received 1733-1736 in the baroque style
