Rhönexpress Rail Trail

The Rhönexpress Bahn-Radweg is brand new (completed June 2019) and a special experience. The 26.3 km long route runs from the Hessian border near Zeitlofs to the Wildflecken market on the former route of the Sinntalbahn and has a gradient of max. 3%.
The route becomes a bike path! This ensures an even and very moderate incline over the entire route. This also makes the Bahn-Radweg an ideal destination for family outings. And for touring cyclists, the section is part of the path “From the Main to the Rhön” and is therefore connected to an extensive network of long-distance trails.
