Kindheitserinnerungen - Strandbad Sittlinger
Im
Strandbad Sittlinger war ich.als Kind oft mit meinen Eltern. Hab dort Schwimmen und Wasserskifahren gelernt und immer wieder auch Franz Klammer beim Wasserskifahren bestaunt. Der Sprungturm steht immer noch. Das Restaurant wurde schön umgebaut und hat großen Zulauf, auch wenn wir fanden dass das Essen allenfalls mittelprächtig war.

Started from Längsee towards Wörthersee. Martina had severe nausea and vomiting, so we replanned the mountainous tour into a gentler tour along the Glan river to Klagenfurt. Then along the Wörthersee and back on the Drauradweg to Villach Landskron.

At the idyllic Bikehotel Rosentaler Hof, we saddled up our bikes punctually and followed the Drau cycle path. On one side the Drau, on the other side the Karawanken.... magnificent distant views. From the Weissensee, always higher up to just over 1000m above sea level to the Kreuzbergpass. Then steeply downhill over a gravel track on the GT3 Alte Kreuzbergstrasse. Martina was crowned Queen of the Gravel Tracks with a feather! 😂 Continue gently downhill through the magnificent Gitschtal to Hermagor

With the best cycling weather, we went over Aschach to Stralsbich, steadily uphill and leaving forest windows to the left. Then, heading towards Platzer Kuppe, we continued to the summit. The panoramic high-altitude trail with great views of the Hessian neighbors along it to the Würzburger Haus. Lunch
