In the 18th century the place belonged to the parish of Leichlingen in the Bergisches Amt Miselohe. The topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 and the Prussian first survey from 1844 both record the place as Nesselrath. In 1832 Nesselrath belonged to the mayor's office in Leichlingen. The place, which was categorized as arable land according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district, had four residential buildings and ten agricultural buildings at the time. At that time, 33 residents lived in the village, all of whom were Protestant. [1]In the municipality lexicon for the province of Rhineland in 1885 twelve houses with 78 inhabitants are given. [2] In 1895 the place had ten houses with 48 inhabitants, in 1905 ten houses and 49 inhabitants. [3] [4] (Source Wikipedia)
