The square is characterized by baroque and bourgeois facades, small shops, cafés, and cultural institutions. Especially on market days and during events such as the Green Market or the Ried Folk Festival, the Upper Square becomes a lively meeting place for locals and visitors alike.

Hiking
Ried im Innkreis is very beautiful! As are many other sights, such as the parish church, which houses art by the Schwanthaler family sculptors, the Museum of Folk Culture, and other buildings! Guided city tours are also available! Highly recommended!
