Please check local regulations for: Krombachtalsperre
The Krombachtalsperre was built between 1946 and 1949. Dammed is the Rehbach, a tributary of dill. Its name is the barrier of a small stream that flows between the town of Rehe and the campsite Rehe in the dam. From April to September, the dam is popular with sailors and surfers. There is also a beach for a refreshing break.

And unfortunately it has gotten a lot worse since then. If I look at the woods I could cry

There are some striking places around the lake, you should leave the main path and make a detour to the shore.

I want to encourage you. If you look at the former Kyrill areas today, after approx. 15 years, you can no longer see the storm damage. It will be the same with the current damage.
July 24, 2021
Nice hiking area around the lake. You are usually a little further away from the shore of the lake.

The current situation in the forests is certainly bad, it reminds me of the mid-80s when trees died out due to 'acid rain'. At that time it was possible to reforest. More mixed forests and not almost exclusively monocultures would certainly be a good approach.

There is a small bench behind the hut. From here you can look out over the lake and relax a little.
