The Devin recreation area is located on the southern outskirts of the Hanseatic city of Stralsund. The village of Devin (Tevyn) was first mentioned in 1237 in a document by Prince Witzlaw of Rügen, who gave it to Stralsund in 1321. Idyllically located on the edge of the forest, there is a 450-meter-long and 25-meter-wide clean sandy beach that invites you to swim and relax in the summer. From here you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Strelasund, the Rügen Bridge and the island of Rügen. All guests can look forward to good beach and water quality. The bathing beach is free of charge and available to everyone at any time.

To improve the tourist offer, a new jetty was built in the Stralsund district of Devin in June 2011. The jetty is 115 meters long and has a mooring width of three meters. Ships that want to moor here can have a maximum length of around 40 meters. The maximum draft at normal water level is 2.50 meters.
