A small stone staircase takes you to the summit, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Harz Mountains up to the Brocken.
A very good starting point for a hike to the Scharfenstein is the Sporthotel Wernigerode. From the parking lot there, you can reach the vantage point via the Senfmühlenweg.
