The beautiful trail runs along the Oise River the entire way, first through town, then between fields and barges. Upon reaching Croix Saint Ouen, you'll have to cycle through the village and along small roads to connect with the cycle paths inside the forest. It's best to start south of Compiègne in the Mercières ZAC (Combination Development Zone), near the swimming pool and the ice rink. The area is easy to spot. The ride is very pleasant and runs along the Oise River. You should always stay on its banks.
