Simple and ingenious, as with relatively simple technology, the water pooled from several sources was pumped for decades from here out of the valley up to a 103 meters higher reservoir. Driven only by the help of the brook water and without any electricity, until 1938 it supplied the village of Althütte, which at that time had a population of 320 souls, with drinking water at up to 63 liters per minute.

Nice waterfall, near the slightly larger parking lot. With its 5 meters height and sometimes not much water is a popular photo opportunity. Always well attended, especially on hot and dry days.
