The Irmgardiskapelle, the symbol of Süchteln, is located on the Süchtelner Heights. This chapel was donated in 1664 in honor of St. Irmgardis, who, according to tradition, lived as a hermit for a long time on the Süchtelner heights. One of the three hospitals in Viersen and the old people's home in Süchteln, the Irmgardis pen, are named after St. Irmgardis. In 1907 an earth tank was built on the Süchtelner Heights as a water reservoir, which was in operation until 1969.

Nice little tour, mostly in the forest and also well suited in warm weather. There are quite a few ascents and descents for which you have to be able to walk.
