Archbishop's Palace, Prague Castle

"The Archbishop's Palace in the immediate vicinity of Prague Castle has been the seat of Prague's bishops and archbishops since the 1560s. The palace was built on the site of 8 townhouses and was rebuilt several times in later times. It acquired its current form in the second half of the 18th century, when it underwent a significant late Baroque reconstruction, it received side wings, a 3rd floor and Rococo decoration of the facade. The heart of the palace is the Chapel of St. John the Baptist (Kaple sv. Jana Křtitele) from the 16th century with wall paintings and stucco.
