The Großräschener See is the remainder of the Meuro mine and is currently still flooded (2016). Here is a port. There are already several restaurants. The best hotel in the area can also be found here. Incidentally, wine is grown on the slopes.

The Großräschener Seebrücke was inaugurated in 2005 by the "bridge builders". It points in the direction of the former road to Senftenberg. A plaque reminds of the places that disappeared in the opencast mine. The pier is both a testimony to the mining tradition and a sign of the new beginning as a seaside town.
