Klein Räschen Pier

The pier in Klein Räschen is something very special. It consists of the 95-meter-long boom of the A2Rs-12500.95 stacker. In other words, part of a former open-cast mining machine.
From the bridge you have a great view of the lake, but also of the vineyard on the shore and the small harbor.

Another fantastic, very new facility that impressed me on my tour. The pier was built from parts of an old open-pit mining excavator and offers a deep view into the flooded mine. Also impressive were the grapevines planted on the south-facing slopes, which were laden with thick, attractive grapes as I drove past. Unfortunately, a fence got in the way, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to resist and would have definitely tasted a few grapes ;)
