Via Normale Corno Grande is the main trail to the Corno Grande summit. It branches off to the left at a sign a mile or so above the trailhead.
Best use the Via Direttissima Corno Grande for an early morning uphill to avoid other hikers, and descend the Via Normale later.
Campo Imperatore is the starting point for hiking the Corno Grande in Gran Sasso, highest Apennin peak komoot.de/tour/3906922

From Campo Imperatore going up through ''Direttissima'' trail up to the Corno Grande at 2.912 mt (it is the highest peak of Gran Sasso massif in the Apennine Mountains and on the Italian Peninsula too). From there wonderful view of Ghiacciaio del Calderone Europe's southernmost glacier, and during optimum weather conditions, both Adriatico and Tirreno Sea can be seen.
Difficulty: high
