The Ebkenssche Windmühle is a gallery Dutchman with a compass rose and was built in 1892. The Ebkens family ran the mill until 1965. Today the property with the windmill and the adjoining buildings belongs to the municipality of Barßel. There is a historically furnished wedding room in the mill.

The Ebkenssche Mühle in Barßel dates back to 1892 and, as a special feature, has a tower made entirely of bricks instead of a wooden structure. The mill can be visited on request. There is a restaurant and a café in the miller's house next door.
