History of the Rehhaldenhütte
Approximately 70 years ago, a small hut, built by the Kugel carpentry shop in Plüderhausen, was erected on the site of the current Rehhaldenhütte. It served as shelter for forest workers. For many years, this first Rehhaldenhütte was also used as a popular weekend home by foresters, their families, and friends. As early as 1968, the Forestry Office made the Rehhaldenhütte available to the Albverein youth group of the Plüderhausen local group. District Forester Röger and the then representative Karl Walter Ziegler initiated this.
