The journey takes place on your pretty busy road and after the tunnels is to be expected with potholes. Here caution is required.
The ascent on this page is rather not recommended, because you can not avoid the main tunnel (2.5 km long) and the ventilation is not so good. Better to drive from the other side (Santa Maria di Maggiore) and enjoy the descent.
