In the middle of the Neuchâtel jungle, a hunting lodge built in 1950 can be found, which today serves as a resting place and refuge for forest visitors.
Opposite the hunting lodge stood an imposing 850-year-old oak tree, until it fell over between 19 and 20 June 2014. It was considered the oldest tree in the forest. Now you can follow the decay of the oak, which can last up to 50 years.
