Very beautiful church that was completed in 1827 and has had a Furtwängler organ since 1852.

        Blender Church

The first church consecration in Blender is recorded for the year 1123.

The Reformation was introduced in 1567. It seems that it wasn't an easy task, as Blender has had its martyr since 1571.

On July 14 of the same year, the first Lutheran pastor, Bertram Karbruch, was murdered by the sexton's son. This pastor's gravestone was used as a step from the tower hall to the church's stairwell during the construction of the current church. The current tower was added to the old church in 1764. The new church building was constructed in 1825-27 in the Neoclassical style by the colonial architect Hellner.

If one ignores the tower, one gets the impression of a manor-like building, a type often found in the first half of the 19th century. Inside, the large wheel or half-rose window above the altar wall in the east immediately catches the eye. With a little luck, the first rays of sunlight will enter the church through this window.

The high pulpit above the altar is no longer in use; a new one has been installed, closer to the people. The oldest piece of furniture in the church is the lectern, dating from 1770. The organ was built in 1852 by Furtwängler of Elze. Its neoclassical case is a fitting counterpart to the choir. It was extensively restored from 1997 to 2000 by organ master Rietzsch of Hambergen. Its sound was restored to its original state, reminiscent of a Romanesque organ.

It is the jewel of the church and is a listed monument.
