The Bleibtreusee is a recreational lake in which you can swim legally and free of charge. There is a small lido with a large sunbathing area on the northern part of the lake. There is a toilet and a kiosk. Bathing is permitted at your own risk. Sailing boats (sail area up to 6 m²), surfboards and soft boats are also permitted on the lake.
The Bleibtreusee has fish stocks of non-predatory and predatory fish. There are pike, eel, perch and crabs among others. Carp fishing enthusiasts call this water an insider tip, not only in Germany, but across Europe.
You can also dive in the Bleibtreusee. For diving you need a permit from the association "Ville Taucher", who have the unrestricted right to use the water for diving activities. The visibility varies over the course of the year. There is no on-site filling station. (mw)
