    With a total height of 530m, the upper basin of the pumped storage power plant Langenprozelten on the Sohlhöhe is one of the highest elevations in the Spessart. From the dam you are above the trees and a magnificent view (unusual for the mostly wooded mountains in the Spessart) over the Spessart into the Rhön. Together with the great accessibility and the many interesting places to visit in the area certainly worth a trip at any time.Information about the pumped storage power plant:

    The small refuge serves as a refuge for bats.
    Unfortunately, when I visited it was very foggy, so it was not something from the distance.
