Hafelekar Cable Car Summit Station

The gondola takes you comfortably from the Seegrube up to the Hafelekar mountain station. From here you have a wonderful view of the Karwendel and the Inn Valley. Information on prices and travel times can be found here: nordkette.com.

This stage is short, but indispensable if you also want to look in the direction of Germany. The view to Innsbruck is about the same as that of the Seegrube.

On 15 July 1927, the construction of the aerial tramway by the company Adolf Bleichert & Co. from Leipzig-Gohlis, the world's leading cable car construction company, began on 9 July 1928, the first, 2,885 m long section Hungerburg Seegrube ( 1905 m above sea level). On 21 July of the same year, the second, upper, 752 m long section Seegrube-Hafelekar was opened.
