On 15 July 1927, the construction of the aerial tramway by the company Adolf Bleichert & Co. from Leipzig-Gohlis, the world's leading cable car construction company, began on 9 July 1928, the first, 2,885 m long section Hungerburg Seegrube ( 1905 m above sea level). On 21 July of the same year, the second, upper, 752 m long section Seegrube-Hafelekar was opened.
