The Frauenmark manor house (castle) is located in the district of Friedrichsruhe near Parchim.

The manor house was built in 1860 in the late Classicist style, but burned down just 30 years later and was rebuilt in 1893.

Ownership changed frequently throughout its history: Jakob von Schönberg owned the estate since 1407, and it remained in his family's possession until 1682. Later, Frauenmark belonged to Baron C. von Forstner, and in 1780, the estate passed through bankruptcy to Hereditary Prince Friedrich Franz I of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. In 1824, Justus von Unger owned the estate, followed by Luise von der Sode in 1832, Otto Rieck in 1913, and Clemens von Doetinchem de Rande from 1916 onward. After World War II, the vacant building was plundered and eventually converted into a retirement home, which existed until 1994.

Since 1996, the building has been privately owned and was completely restored and reconstructed over the next two years. Today, it houses a hotel with stylishly furnished rooms. Guests can enjoy 13 enchantingly decorated rooms and suites with romantic four-poster beds and equally original bathrooms.

These are complemented by numerous beautiful spaces that are open to the public, such as the hall with its floor-to-ceiling sandstone fireplace, the tea room, the library, the wine bar, the Florence Bar, the Claude Monet Restaurant, and the private room, where guests can dine in complete privacy.

At the rear of the main building, the former stables were converted into an orangery, which can be used for festive events, and opened in 2008.
