Beautiful in every season whether spring, summer, autumn and winter. On my last visit in winter I was there in a quiet snowy landscape.

The Pestruper burial ground is a sought-after excursion destination, it represents the largest bronze and Iron Age necropolis of northern Central Europe. Special during the heather blossom in late summer, the area invites to long walks. The terrain is considered one of the last large coherently preserved heaths in the Oldenburg area and is under conservation.

Incredibly large burial site from the megalithic period. Most beautiful at sunrise and at the time of the heather blossom.

Wonderful heather in the middle of a barrow field where people were buried 2500 years ago. An awesome place. The landscape is ideal for hiking.
