An absolutely kitschy and beautiful place above Grindelwald. Two cog railways meet at the train station, taking nature lovers up to the Jungfraujoch, the Eiger Trail or the Lauberhorn. However, many hikers also take the train up here and then hike on from here. The view is just wonderful, but it is also very touristy. You can see groups of tourists here, who alternately come up from the valley by train every 30 minutes, take a photo with a Bernese Mountain Dog (with typical kegs on the collar) and then continue up to the Sphinx. A fun sight, but still a wonderful starting point for hikes.
