The Furkajoch is a mountain pass at 1761m altitude, which connects the valley of the Bregenz Ach with the Laternsertal.

if you want to cross the Furkajoch from the west you have to climb up in front of Laterns through two road tunnels is very uncomfortable because it goes uphill in the tunnels. the first you can avoid, the 2nd not because the bypass does not get behind the tunnel. Moving up the trail is extremely steep in the upper area after the village then it's about a forest trail after laterns time loss about 2 hours

The Furkajoch is a small and little-known pass between the Bregenzer Ach valley and the Rhine valley. Not to be confused with the much better known Furka Pass in Switzerland.
The approach from the east is pleasant to drive, the slope is moderate with up to 10%, sometimes very steep on very short sections. The road is well developed and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains almost all the time. From Damüls the traffic halves, because many continue to the Faschinajoch

Furkajoch a very nice pass with little traffic, great scenery. That's what makes cycling fun.

The Furkajoch is a very recommendable pass between the valley of the Bregenzer Ach and the Rhine Valley. The route is well developed, but still retains the charm of a mountain road, especially from Damüls the narrower road meanders very nicely up the mountainside. For a round, you can visit the Furkajoch from the east with a descent to the Rhine Valley and return via the Große Walsertal and the Faschinajoch.

Demanding incline from Au with initially 14%. After a bit flatter sections, almost a 12% gradient. Above you will be rewarded with a good view. In addition, a small kiosk invites you to linger.

Challenging climb with numerous double-digit passages. Not easy to drive.
