Not visible from the German neighboring territory, one of the originally 112 wooden barrack camps of the Czechoslovak border troops was set up here in 1950/1951 along the borders with the FRG and Austria. The border companies, called "units of the first wave" in communist military jargon, were fed, rested, and slept here, and were also trained. The command of the so-called "Dianaberg-Rotte" was also located here.
