The Protestant town church of St. Marien and Andreas is a Gothic brick church and is also known as the town church of Rathenow.
From 1517-62 the conversion to a three-aisled late Gothic hall church took place. At the end of April 1945 the church caught fire from fire. The church lost its tower. On July 22, 1945, during a storm, the gable collapsed over the triumphal arch and also destroyed the roof of the choir room. The St. Marien Andreas Church has had a new spire since September 17, 2001.

St. Mary's Andrew's Church was completed in the middle of the 13th century. It is located on the Kirchberg in Rathenow and is visible from afar. The church tower can be climbed. From the top you have a very good panoramic view of the city Rathenow and its surroundings.
