Great Head is a tranquil alternative to the more popular Ocean Path across Newport Cove, and its Western side offers some of the most peaceful views of Sand Beach and the Beehive available in the park.

Great head is a nice little hike but you do need sturdy shoes to do it in. Don't be on the beach in your flip flops and then give this a try because it's so close!
