A beautiful example of how you can create a new destination with old materials and minimal energy consumption. Environmentally friendly and of added value to the environment and nature. The steel girders of this lookout tower had been unused in storage for several years.The Rotterdam design agency OOZE came up with a beautiful new destination for these materials on behalf of the Municipality of Oude IJsselstreek: a colorful staircase with a pavilion that offers a great view of the beautiful nature reserve of Engbergen and the Oude IJssel.Tiggelovend-Kok was allowed to breathe new life into the material and processed the steel into a sturdy construction and placed the lookout tower at its final destination. With old materials and minimal energy consumption, the lookout tower was created, environmentally friendly and of added value to the environment and nature.
