Not very suitable for big people like me, because you almost have to walk bent over, but a real wonderland for children. In really loving detail empires many brothers Grimm fairy tales are staged. Go on a fairytale tour of discovery in the beautiful Thuringian Forest through an underground labyrinth, which is located in Walldorf near Meiningen. The Walldorf show mine houses one of the largest man-made caves of this type in Europe on an area of 65,000 square meters.
On an excursion through the sandstone cave you can get an idea of the life of the German sandmaker families, who at that time created an underground labyrinth with over 2,500 supporting columns using the most primitive tools such as pickaxes, wooden clappers or chisels.
