The pavilion known as the Seven Stars, or Temple of Hercules, was built around 1650 by the Capuchin Father Charles of Brussels (i. E. Antoine d'Arenberg) at the highest point of the estate. It was a point of observation of the heavens, an observatory, designed at a time when astronomy took off again with the discoveries of Galileo and Copernicus. From this elevated point, it was possible to observe the horizon and the sky at 360 °.

This baroque pavilion was built on a central point from which 14 avenues radiated. The seven stars in the name refer to the planets known at the time. The pavilion is said to have been designed by Macaire Borlère. It is located in a water basin spanned by a bridge. From this bridge, a staircase could emerge via ingenious machinery to the roof terrace. From there, one had an unobstructed view of the distant surroundings. The restoration of the large pavilion, stripped of its statues and medallions and of its former function as a belvedere, was completed in 2006.
