Hiking Highlight (Segment)
The Kaltenbachwildnis takes its name from the Kaltenbach, which is often dry, but as soon as it fills up when the snow melts or after long rain, it becomes a small torrent that has cut deep into the small valley.
Rock towers and needles are the result of erosion in limestone. Together with the Kaltenbach, they create a wild and romantic gorge that can be hiked over footbridges, stairs and bridges.
