This magnificent mill was built as early as the 19th century and operated by many millers over the years. In 1965 she ceased operations and has been saved since 1972 as a cultural monument. 1847 to 1848 was the last Varel Count Gustav Adolf Bentinck built the mill. In 1854, the mill became the property of the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg (Wikipedia).
