In the vicinity of the Kannenburg lock (currently under construction) you will find this great bivouac site right on the Großer Kuhwallsee. There is a covered picnic bench, some wooden benches and chairs around a fire bowl and space for some medium-sized tents. There is also access to the lake in the cool water. The site is next to a horse and sheep pasture, so don't be surprised if you get an animal visit from time to time, but who stops at the wooden fence next to the tents.
