A really nice piece of earth. Would have liked to stay longer, but the way home was long.

A small lake that laughed with clear water and a tree trunk collection as an art object, the so-called "HochZeit Himmelreich" by Klaus Meier-Warneboldt. This is a walk-in landscape sculpture made of birch trunks. It has EXPO 2000 cover, is thus over 15 years old and you can see that now "rotten" birch wood also. Worth seeing here then but the surrounding nature!

The conservation project Lutter was launched in 1989 and by 2016 more than 16.5 million euros flowed into the project. 1150 ha of land were bought up and the rights of use acquired for 570 ha. In this area various nature conservation measures were carried out. For example, the mill pond in Eldingen is no longer drained to reduce the flooding of fine sediments. The mill also lost its right to be built, which increased the permeability.
Here is one of the last occurrences of the freshwater pearl mussel. In the south, the NSG borders Lachte. In general, the water of Lutter and Lachte is very clean. Mainly the mercury content is not optimal, compared to the Aller but still very good.
