The Niederelbehütte was built in 1930/31 in the Seßladtal in the Verwall group, in the municipality of Kappl at an altitude of 2,310 metres. In 1966/67 the hut was generously expanded and provided with its own hydroelectric power station. The hut has been awarded the environmental seal of approval for a long time. The hut is supplied by a freight elevator from Paznaun.
Since 1938 all three tenants have borne the name Rudigier. Martha and Hubert Rudigier have been tenants of the hut since 1999, which they took over from Hubert's parents, who had been tenants for 20 years. In the mountains you can not only experience nature, but also eat well, as the Culinary Way of St. James shows. The hut is open from the end of June to around the end of September.

A not too difficult, but nevertheless attention-grabbing route led us twice from Kappl to this beautifully situated hut. The goal is Is cozy, friendly, warm, quaint, fragrant, inviting, good cuisine and cool drinks await you at the end of the wonderful, endlessly varied path.
The path is the goal ..... but the goal too!
