The last stage is a really beautiful conclusion. There's still a fair amount of distance to cover, but the altitude gain remains manageable. From the Edmund-Graf-Hütte, you first head up to the Kappler Joch at 2,672 meters. It's here that you first truly feel how the loop is slowly closing. On the opposite

After the last two challenging stages, it will now be significantly more relaxed again. The afternoon is sunny and largely clear. With this light, everything feels even better anyway.

Attention: This stage is also an extremely high-alpine route. It requires careful planning, alpine experience, and corresponding knowledge.

From the Darmstädter Hütte, you first head back up the Advokatenweg to the crossroads from the previous day. At the latest, I'm back in full mode there: alert, concentrated

Warning: This stage is an extremely high-alpine route. It is the most difficult part of the Paznauner Höhenweg and requires careful planning, alpine experience, and corresponding skills.

For me, this stage is one of the most intense on the Paznauner Höhenweg. I am alone, focused on the path, on the weather

The fifth section of the Paznauner Höhenweg is the coziest stage for me. Of course, it's not entirely without effort, as around 850 meters of altitude are also gained here.

From Galtür, it first heads towards Außertschafein, then I follow the signs to the Friedrichshafener Hütte via Adamsberg. The view

From here I am traveling alone. My friend and companion is driving back to Innsbruck, where he works at the clinic. Later he will rejoin the tour and walk the last stages. After a joint lunch, I continue, past the Pardatschgratbahn into the impressive Kitzlochklamm gorge and over one of the two spectacular

From Kappl, a real challenge awaits you today. Starting from the valley station of the Diasbahn, it's a long uphill climb for us. We gain altitude through the Visnitztal, lots of altitude. For the first section, it's a good 1,500 meters of altitude gain in one go, and that's exactly what makes the stage

From the Ascher Hütte, we continue directly. First, we follow the hut path across the Medrigalpe to the Gratli. At the latest there, it becomes clear that this day still holds some sensational views. The view into the Istal valley and towards the Berglialpe is really good and stays with you. I know the
