In the proverbial "good old days" this (former) windmill, standing prominently on the hill and clearly visible from afar, must have made a very deep impression on the viewer. However, this has changed a long time ago: Only the ruinous remains of the once proudly towering tower with the wide sweeping wings is there as a sad testimony to that bygone era. Today's visitor probably enjoys the sight of the ruins less than - at least in good weather - the beautiful view of the wide plain that unfolds in front of him.
