Beautifully situated between old trees unfolds a medieval complex with various buildings. Historically significant are the sites as the monastery of St. Scholastica and the birthplace of the later Cardinal Clemens August Graf von Galen. You want to know more? Here:

I'll fill that out right now ... so:Beautifully situated between old trees unfolds a medieval complex with various buildings. Historically significant are the sites as the monastery of St. Scholastica and the birthplace of the later Cardinal Clemens August Graf von Galen. You want to know more? Here:
     To the monastery: abteiburgdinklage.de
To the castle: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kloster_Burg_DinklageTo the foundation cardinal v. Galen kardinal-von-galen-stiftung.deOne approaches the terrain through old trees and is immediately taken by a special atmosphere, since the old buildings are a rarity in the Oldenburger Münsterland.
Allowing a little more time to capture everything is advisable. Thereafter, nothing stands in the way of an ice cream or a kebab on the market square - there you are then fix. Self-catering find benches and corners to rest in peace.

I do not know why the same area is here 3 times as a highlight for cyclists - once it would be good. Worthwhile is a visit but in any case. On the one hand because of the well-preserved, old buildings and on the other because of the radiance of Cardinal von Galen, who was born and grew up here. And to which one finds a lot of information here.

The Benedictine monastery of Burg Dinklage, also known as the "Abbey of St. Scholastika", and its surrounding buildings are beautifully situated in the airy, wooded area of the nature reserve. It is definitely worth experiencing this place. The atmosphere is fantastic and beautiful.
