In addition to the Mönchsdeggingen monastery, the small town is known for its Jewish history. Hikers on the Albsteig, who stop here, can visit the Jewish cemetery, the old synagogue and the mikveh, an old ritual bath.
On the 2.7-kilometer circular hiking trail through the artificial forest, painted trees offer a new spatial experience that changes in the play of light of the day and the seasons. Since the art objects are not maintained and are exposed to weathering, the appearance changes constantly until it is completely dissolved.

Here is the end point of the second stage from the Albsteig. A bad bus connection and no restaurants have to be expected.

Very nice little village. The monastery church is wonderful and should definitely be visited!!
