King Ludwig II came to the forester's house built in 1848 when he was on the way from Linderhof Castle to Neuschwanstein Castle. The guest house with a very nice beer garden plus an adjoining children's playground is located on the so-called Königsstrasse between Altenau and the Wieskirche. The cuisine is home-style and the prices are okay.
