Mountain biking
There were powder mills along the trail in the past century. Trenches and some storage bunkers (western part) can still be admired today. The trail is partly south of these ruins.
To visit these remains, you have to keep a little north in the middle of the trail (through a deep ditch) and follow the trail on the other side - analogously back.

Hiking
That was the nicest part of the hike. Everything else was on paved little streets, nicely situated, but not nice to walk. Originally we wanted to walk the Explosives Königsreich Buchholz circular route for 12.5 km, but that would also be mostly road and we don't like that.
