The Torre Guinigi with its 7 holm oaks on its top is a striking landmark of the city of Lucca. You have to master 230 steps to get a view from the top of the city with the beautiful medieval architecture. But the view is definitely worth the climb.

The tower is part of an imposing structure commissioned by the Guinigi family, wealthy and powerful merchants from Lucca in the fourteenth century, and today it is the only testimony of the more than 250 towers that enriched the city in the Middle Ages.
