Not far from Ebertswiese is the mountain lake of the same name. This is a flooded
    Quarry. Baden possible and recommended.

The Ebertswiese is a swampy meadow area on the Rennsteig in the Thuringian Forest. The Spitter, a tributary of Apfelstädt, springs from several swamp springs there.

Here you can discover many wildflowers / grasses. I was there in the middle of May and have joyfully found the orchid.

At a small stop you can relax directly at the Ebert meadow and eat something small

Beautiful mountain meadow, accessible via the Spittergrund well from Tambach. It is worth a detour to the crystal clear mountain lake. There is a kiosk where you can get acquainted with water and co. can provide. Nearby is also the Spitterfall, Thuringia's highest natural waterfall.

The Ebertswiese is an absolute highlight in the Thuringian Forest but bathing is really only on very warm days and you can relax here, thanks to the peace and quiet
