Beautiful old oak with lightning damage on Fontaneweg F4

Route F4 connects Mittenwalde with Potsdam in a three-quarter circuit via the Notte lowlands, across the Teltow and through the Nuthe-Nieplitz lowlands.
The path leads from Mittenwalde via Zossen, via the districts of Mellensee and Saalow in the municipality of Am Mellensee and via Christinendorf to Trebbin, where it reaches the Nuthe-Nieplitz nature park.
After climbing over the heights of the Glauer Berge push moraine, the path descends to Blankensee.
Here, in what he called the Thümenschen Winkel, Fontane visited, among other things, the Blankensee mansion, which later became the refuge of the writer Hermann Sudermann.
After the village of Schiass, the smallest part of the middle town of Ludwigsfelde, the F4 follows the Königsgraben for a while.
Heading west, it leaves the lowlands and climbs up to the Saarmund end moraine arch, which forms the eastern boundary of the Zauche to the Nuthe-Nieplitz lowlands.
Over the heights of the terminal moraine arch, the path through the Fresdorfer Heide, over the Ziebchenberg (81 m) and the Saarmunder Berg (97 m) near Saarmund, where there is a connection to the F5, returns to the lowlands.
The hiking trail leaves the nature park at the Berlin outer ring.
Up to Potsdam it largely follows the course of the Nuthe and, after the nature-protected Nuthewiesen Babelsberg meadows, reaches the center of the state capital.
The Fontaneweg F4 ends at the Potsdamer Nuthemündung in the Havel.

Very beautiful, large old oak tree with lightning damage. There is a bench to sit on
